Receive replies to your SMS by email, HTTP callback or SMS

In order to receive replies, it is essential that you set a phone number as the sender of the SMS. SMS with an alphanumeric sender (e.g. CompanyABC) cannot be replied to.

There are basically three different ways to receive replies:

  1. Use your own phone number ( landline or mobile ) as sender identification. You will then receive the replies directly on your own device.
  2. Use one of our shared gateway numbers as the sender ID. The SMS will then be sent to you by email and saved in your login.
  3. Book your own phone number with us, which you can specify as the sender ID.

Matching of responses to SMS

If a recipient replies to your SMS, the reply is sent to the account that last sent an SMS to the recipient. Therefore, if two accounts send SMS to this specific number, the reply will be sent to number that contacted this recipient last.

Please note that a 100% reliable matching of the answers is not possible if two customers send an SMS to the same number and the recipient answers.

Forwarding by Mail and HTTP Callback

Optionally, you can have incoming replies forwarded directly to your server or via email using a webhook. You will find the setting for this in your login in the inbound settings.
